Later on in the day D.I.L. went and picked up my son from the airport, flying in from New York from a business trip. When they walked in the door, Troy had a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream in his hand. It was time for him to relax from his trip and do what was important.
It was time to change into comfortable clothes, give his wife a big ol' hug, and then boil up some water, fill up some mugs with hot chocolate, add the Baileys Irish Cream, a shot of rum and the whole top of the drink with miniature marshmallows and get down to decorating their Christmas tree.
They bought this place a little over a couple months ago, so this is their first Christmas in their first home they are purchasing. It was a downright honor for me to be able to be a part of this very important day in these kids lives!
And the tree is always done when you put the top onto the tree. A long day it was and so very, very, enjoyable!
