The Clampers of E Clampus Vitus 1911 had their "Doin's" this weekend. This is where the men are initiated into the clampers. It is a little hard for me to explain them, but it is a group of men, (no ladies we are NOT allowed) who help all around in our community with different chapters I believe, are all over the Untited States.
They will replace markers on our land that has been thrashed or are missing.
They are the ones packing the sacks of groceries for those that are less fortunate on Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
In this town they have been known to pay for a funeral or two for the families of those that could not afford an unexpected death. Matter of fact I can not think of one thing that this great group of men won't do in our community if asked, except for one!
Allow women, LOL!!!
These are just pics of their "doin's sign they had this weekend at Goerge Young Park located down the street from us in Pinetown. This is where the big boys go to initiate new recruits and they have a BLAST. My brother-in-law is in it and this weekend his brother-in-law was initiated.
Them men have WAAAAAAY too much fun at this yearly event.
It makes a little ol' mountain girl like me a bit jealous!!!
I am just adding the one below to show just how much smoke we are getting here in Pinetown from a fire in Shasta County. The haze of the smoke is awful!!!
