A little background on why I named this blog what I did.

I should probably do a little explaining on my title of this blog. First my last name is White. Therefore I live in the "White House." Living in the "White House" makes me the 1st Lady. My physical address says I live in Westwood Ca. (not the one by Los Angeles) but a little mountain town in Northeastern Ca. However I really live in a section out of Westwood known as Pinetown. With all the joking going on between my friends, I inevitably became Pinetowns 1st Lady living in the "White House." With all that said, this is just going to be a more personal blog of my life here in Westwood/Pinetown. My family and friends being a big part of it.
Originally I really wanted to take a picture a day for one year and post it on this blog. Perhaps like a photo diary. My life though is quite quiet and perhaps is not photo worthy for a picture a day but I plan on trying. So why not hop in and take a ride with me through little mountain town U.S.A. You may just love it as much as I do!

A smile today

Todays post will go down in "Allison's memory " as being one of my favorites. My husband Dave did not have a very good childhood, matter of fact a pretty shitty childhood as far as childhoods go.He never ever even knew who his father was and still does not 62 years later.

(My father died two weeks ago yesterday and we have been to southern, Ca. and back for his funeral)

When he met my Dad 6 1/2 years ago, him and my Dad hit it off just great. My husband always told me my dad was like the dad he never had, and my father always told me and my husband that if we were to ever break up (Dave and I) that the door would remain open to Dave (and I am sure of that).

Anyway it has been a real rough couple weeks for us, always thinking and reminiscing. My poor husband is taking it rather hard, so the reason I say that the pictures today will go down in my memory is, a local man who has been here in this town forever happened to drive by and see Dave and I . His name is Ray. Ray has been friends with Dave forever and I was introduced when Dave and I got together. He is considered by us as a very dear friend, and when Dave saw him today, Dave smiled.

The first smile I have seen in a couple weeks.

I think I need say no more.

Just Ray

Yup, it was real heartwarming to me to see my husband smile, actually laugh again.

Howdy Hi!
I would love to hear what you have to say. Why not leave me a comment?

View Larger Map This is where I live. To the right of Westwood barely visible is the little section I live in called Pinetown. We have probably 150 to 200 people for our population. Westwood on the other hand is HUGE by comparison with a population of around 2000!
