A little background on why I named this blog what I did.

I should probably do a little explaining on my title of this blog. First my last name is White. Therefore I live in the "White House." Living in the "White House" makes me the 1st Lady. My physical address says I live in Westwood Ca. (not the one by Los Angeles) but a little mountain town in Northeastern Ca. However I really live in a section out of Westwood known as Pinetown. With all the joking going on between my friends, I inevitably became Pinetowns 1st Lady living in the "White House." With all that said, this is just going to be a more personal blog of my life here in Westwood/Pinetown. My family and friends being a big part of it.
Originally I really wanted to take a picture a day for one year and post it on this blog. Perhaps like a photo diary. My life though is quite quiet and perhaps is not photo worthy for a picture a day but I plan on trying. So why not hop in and take a ride with me through little mountain town U.S.A. You may just love it as much as I do!

Bucking and Chucking

In the scheme of things, I sort of thought that this load of wood would be off the truck and split when I got home from southern Ca.

I had already unloaded the first half of the truck before I left and offered to unload the rest but was told "No." Do I sound pissed? Yea perhaps a little bit, because today it is cold and it would have been done 2 or 3 weeks ago, and I really was not into it that much today. But the snow is suppose to fly, so what needs to be done, needs to be done!

But I can tell you what really can pissed me off. That's when I pull a stunt such as this one!!! This is what I did in a rush and a little on the aggravated side. I had "chucked" the wood as hard as I could to get it into the shed and then found myself barely able to get INTO the shed so that I could stack it or at least get it ready to split.
So much for being upset Huh? So much for my attitude!

So this is how I handled it. I think it will be easier to split this way now that it is in the shed!

And I just happened to like this picture for some reason. A super pitchy piece of wood on the left.
I still say it would have been better for all concerned if I could have simply "chucked" this wood 2 or 3 weeks ago when it was a whole lot warmer outside. LOL!!!
So much for thinkin' huh?
PEACE!!!

Firewood is so much fun! This year we had to have it chopped and delivered. Hubby hurt his knees at work and couldnt go get it like we usually do. But my 6 year old busted his butt and did lots of stacking. He earned enough money to get a new lego set. I think our firewood is done for the year.

Howdy Hi!
I would love to hear what you have to say. Why not leave me a comment?

View Larger Map This is where I live. To the right of Westwood barely visible is the little section I live in called Pinetown. We have probably 150 to 200 people for our population. Westwood on the other hand is HUGE by comparison with a population of around 2000!
